Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how Mop Mate Cleaning Services handles quotes, bookings, cancellations, payments and cleaning scope. They are intended as practical business terms and should be reviewed if formal legal terms are required.

Quotes

Quotes are based on the information provided before booking, including property size, condition, photos or video, furnished status, access, parking, urgency and special requirements. A quote may change if the property condition or requested scope differs from the information supplied.

Booking & Access

The customer must provide safe and timely access to the property. If cleaners cannot access the property at the agreed time, Mop Mate Cleaning Services may charge for wasted travel time, waiting time or cancellation.

Utilities & Parking

The customer must ensure safe access to water, electricity and lighting where required. Parking costs, permit charges, congestion charges or similar costs may be added to the invoice.

Scope & Exclusions

Cleaning will be carried out according to the agreed scope. Unless agreed in writing, cleaning does not include rubbish removal, pest removal, mould remediation, biohazard cleaning, high-level exterior windows, carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning, wall washing or repainting, appliance repairs, moving heavy furniture, or unsafe/inaccessible areas.

Cancellations

Customers should give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a booking. Less than 24 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee. Same-day and emergency bookings may require upfront payment or deposit.

Where consumer cancellation rights apply, and the customer asks Mop Mate Cleaning Services to begin work before any cooling-off period has ended, the customer may be responsible for paying for work completed or costs reasonably incurred.

Payment

Unless agreed otherwise, domestic customer payment is due on completion or on receipt of invoice. Estate agents, property managers and business clients are normally due within 7 days of invoice unless another term has been agreed.

For business-to-business work, statutory late payment interest and recovery costs may be claimed where applicable.

Complaints

Any complaint should be raised within 24 hours of job completion, with photos where possible. Mop Mate Cleaning Services will review the issue and may offer a re-clean of valid missed areas that were included in the agreed scope.

Photos & Quality Records

Mop Mate Cleaning Services may take before and after photos or videos for job records, quality control and complaint protection. Photos will not be posted publicly without permission.
